Producers to Watch: Ribera del Duero

This 2-pack features two relatively new producers backed by many years of experience that deserve all the attention they're getting in Ribera del Duero for making some of the best wines in the region:

1. Pinea "17" Crianza 2019: This is Pinea's flagship wine, which's label was made to commemorate the year of Bodegas Pinea's first wine release. "17" was a year of triumphs, as it's also the year in which Spanish golfer Sergio Garcia won his first Major (The Masters). Pinea "17" is a high toned Burgundy-esque perfume that was gently extracted from high-elevation, 30+-year-old Tempranillo vines.
2. Tomas Postigo 3 Año:  Tomas Postigo, one of the most venerable winemakers in Ribera del Duero (Founder of Pago de Carraovejas), started his own project after leaving Pago de Carraovejas and created Tomas Postigo 3er Ano. The result of years of experience, combined with freedom to elaborate wine under his own expert criteria. A real work of art.
